One of the transfer windows most flirted names, M’baye Niang could be heading to England after only a few months at AC Milan. Everton had agreed a deal for the 17 year old in the Summer, but it fell through on transfer deadline day, which alerted Milan who swooped in for a late deal. Despite the hype that surrounds the highly talented Frenchman, he has failed to make an impact in Italy having only played one Serie A game so far this season.
Niang signed a three year deal with Milan, but it’s believed that they are willing to listen to offers after an unimpressive start to his career. He has been linked with a host of clubs around Europe, including Arsenal and of course Everton.
At a glance he has all the characteristics to be yet another text book Moyes signing. If Everton were to prise him from Italy, it would be at a reduced price and he would have the opportunity to improve with regular football in a good team. Niangs playing style would also suit Everton as he is fast, strong and a clinical finisher. But more importantly he would add flair, which is about the only thing lacking from Everton’s current side. It would be a giant risk considering his current form, but you feel a loan move would be a very realistic possibility and a safer bet.
