Extent of Arsenal’s problems at Colney revealed in damaging report

The inquest into Arsenal’s constant failing has once again started amongst the punters propping up the bar here in the Transfer Tavern.

Indeed, their dismal 4-0 thumping at the hands of Liverpool has seen the #WengerOut brigade return in full force and our drinkers can’t quite believe the state of the Gunners right now.

According to the Daily Mail, the players at the club are not impressed about the fact training has stayed the same in what is reportedly an unhappy dressing room.

It’s believed that Arsene Wenger has been putting his stars through the same routines for years, yielding little success along the way. Jens Lehmann’s duties are thought to be unclear, despite his appointment as a first-team coach earlier this summer.

Steve Bould, meanwhile, is said to have minimal involvement in training, where Le Prof is reported to have complete control.

While the Frenchman is still said to retain a huge amount of respect amongst his players, they are not thought to think he will make the changes to put his club back on track.

As you can imagine, this is very sour reading for our Arsenal-mad punters.

Landlord’s Verdict:

It’s just sad to see Wenger descend into this. He should have gone in the summer, if not before, and the players he puts so much trust in so often let him down.

An absolute root-and-stem rebuild is desperately needed in north London.
