There is finally some good news for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern this evening, a very welcome tonic for a club who have angered their fans so much over the past few months (years).
According to French outlet L’Equipe (via the Daily Express), Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante has held talks with Manchester City over a potential summer deal.
Now, that may initially sound like bad news to those in North London.
However, it is also claimed that the tenacious Frenchman would PREFER a switch to the Emirates if he were to leave Premier League champions Leicester City over the next few months.
The 25-year old has been a revelation in the East Midlands since his £5.6m arrival from Caen last year, excelling as one of the most dynamic operators on the continent.
His potential arrival at the Gunners would help address one of the major issues effecting the squad over the past few years, who lack a tenacious midfield presence to win the ball back.
Just how big a signing for Arsenal would Kante be, should he arrive?
