Arsenal will be searching for a replacement with Aaron Ramsey confirmed to leave the club in the near future.

The Gunners will not offer their longest serving player a new deal at the Emirates with clubs circling like sharks for his signature. Ramsey has made six starts under Unai Emery, but the Welshman does not feature in his future plans. With Lucas Torreira developing into a key player following his move from Sampdoria, Emery would be wise to target a midfield partner.

Granit Xhaka has failed to perform in the engine room consistently and Arsenal would be wise to land a replacement for Ramsey. Selling the former Cardiff City man and replacing him with AC Milan powerhouse, Franck Kessie, would be a masterstroke.

Valued at £31.5m by Transfermarkt, the Ivorian made his name at Atalanta where his impressive performances saw him join AC Milan on a two-year loan that will become permanent. Kessie has been a pivotal player for his new side but could be tempted to move to the Premier League with Milan languishing in mid-table. If Arsenal could lure him to England, there may be no better partner for Torreira.

Kessie is a box-to-box midfielder who would thrive in Emery’s system. The Ivory Coast international loves to get stuck in and transitions defence into attack brilliantly. His immense strength combined with fantastic technical ability makes him a nightmare for the opposition.

Still just 21-years-old, Kessie is developing and improving with every game. Working with a world-class manager like Emery could do wonders for him. His arrival in North London would make Arsenal fans quickly forget about Ramsey’s departure.
