Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait to see who Arsene Wenger manages to sign in this summer window.
The men from the Emirates have had a difficult few months and many think that if Wenger doesn’t spend big in this window the club could start getting left behind.
For sure, then, the French manager needs to get the wallet out and sign some top players whilst it also looks as though the club has been handed a welcome boost over Alexis Sanchez.
Indeed, as quoted by Kicker – via The Daily Mail – Bayern Munich’s Uli Hoeness has hinted that the Chilean international will not be a part of their transfer plans.
“We are all talking about a reconstruction and about planning Bayern Munich’s future.
“Then we do that, signing young players between 20 and 22 – and there are critics again. But you cannot reconstruct a team by signing 29 or 30-year-old players for €100m. That is no policy.”
For sure, then, it appears as though the club is aiming to sign young players in this window and so Sanchez may not move there after all.
He has been referred to as a target of the Bundesliga side by The Daily Mail but Arsenal look as though they can forget about them for now at least.
