Much like Manchester United and Paul Pogba, the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern haven’t quite been able to go even a day without bringing up the name of a certain Argentine striker.
The annual ‘Gonzalo is a Gunner’ rumours and reports began in earnest a few weeks ago, though according to Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport (via the Metro) the 28-year old could now be open to a move to North London.
Though Napoli are rather understandably standing firm over their 28-year old master marksman, the financial might of the Premier League (as well as dominant Serie A titans Juventus) is thought to have turned his head away from the Stadio San Paolo.
Still, the fact that the Old Lady are a direct competitor to his current charges could see the deal swing in Arsene Wenger’s favour, especially with the player open to the idea of moving to the Big Smoke.
Would Higuain be the man to finally win Arsenal the league? Worth £78m? Let us know below….
