The 20-year-old Frenchman insists that he regularly watches Premier League games involving top teams such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Man City. This news will only fuel speculation of a move to England for one of France’s most highly-rated youngsters.
The defensive midfielder has a contract with current club, Rennes, until 2014, but reported financial difficulties at the Ligue 1 club may see them soon cash in on their French International star.
M’Vila told L’Equipe magazine:
“Which league do I watch on TV? The Premier League! It matches my game.”
“It is a warrior’s game, where you have to show plenty of fighting spirit.”
“I like to watch Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, but also Manchester City.”
“I’m a big fan of the English state of mind and tackling.”
However, M’Vila warned that any club vying for his services would have to ensure first team football and implored that he was not interested in moving anywhere to warm the bench.
“You can’t leave for a big club to be a substitute,”
“I prefer to stay at my club to improve. I want to work more on the attacking aspect of my game – scoring and assisting.”
Liverpool have been closely linked to the young starlet, but a whole host of Premier League clubs will be looking at what he can do. At 20 years old, the player has a bright future. Having broken into the French national team, the young enforcer has a £15million price tag above his head as well as a question mark about his future.
