Arsenal secured back-to-back wins in the Premier League with a 3-2 victory over Cardiff City at the weekend.

Eager to build on last week’s win against West Ham, Unai Emery fielded both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in the starting eleven. The Gunners took an early lead through Shkodran Mustafi before Victor Camarasa equalised with his first goal in over 400 minutes of football. Aubameyang restored the lead before Danny Ward seemingly rescued a point for the Bluebirds until Lacazette fired home ten minutes from time.

The win will be a welcome relief for Emery after Arsenal lost their opening two fixtures of the new campaign. The Spaniard will be pleased to see both Lacazette and Aubameyang combining well in the attack, but the Gunners still lack a quality option on the flanks. The former PSG manager needs to address this problem when the January transfer window reopens.

One man he should try to sign is Rennes winger – Ismaila Sarr. Valued at £12.6m by Transfermarkt, the 20-year-old has emerged as one of the brightest talents in France since joining from Mainz last summer. Sarr hit five goals during his debut season with his new side and has made a blistering start to the new campaign with two goals in just four Ligue 1 appearances so far. The youngster has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Ousmane Dembele and swap the French side for one of Europe’s elite.

The winger would be a perfect addition to the Arsenal squad. He has bags of pace and excellent dribbling ability; he averaged 2.7 dribbles per game last season which is more than any other Arsenal player (WhoScored). Sarr is also extremely versatile – comfortable on either wing or as the central forward.

The youngster could follow in the footsteps of his countryman Sadio Mane and become a huge star in the Premier League.
