It’s already obvious that these 2 Arsenal players don’t want to be playing for the club – Agreed?

Arsenal are absolutely flying this year under new boss Unai Emery. As a unit, they’re playing absolutely gorgeous football, scoring incredible goals, and mounting a legitimate push towards the Premier League title.

You’d expect that, with the form they’re experiencing at the moment, all players would be extremely happy at the club. In fact, it would be a nigh-on impossible task to think of any rational reason as to why members of the Arsenal dressing room could be upset.

However, there are rare occasions in which players may, rather selfishly, bemoan the success of their teammates if they aren’t involved as much as they’d like to be. A little bit like a child who wants all the attention to be on them. Think Ronaldo at Real Madrid when someone else scored a goal.

That said, here are two players who are probably considering their futures to be away from Arsenal…

Carl Jenkinson

It comes as a huge surprise that the English defender is still on the books at Arsenal Football Club, having played away from the team for that long it genuinely wouldn’t be too far-fetched to suggest the right-back was born on loan.

However, at the start of the season, it seemed Unai Emery was feeling particularly charitable and willing to offer Mr. Jenkinson another opportunity to earn his wage. Either that, or he didn’t get the memo about sending him packing for the season.

Since the manager’s philanthropic efforts, however, Jenkinson hasn’t really made much of an impact on the team.

Failing that, we’re sure that he’s probably getting a little wanderlust, so another loan deal wouldn’t be out of the question.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

This move certainly isn’t a permanent one, as the player clearly has a bright future ahead of him at Arsenal. However, with his future in mind, he’s probably keen on the idea of getting minutes under his belt to help push into the first team in years to come.

In terms of an ideal location for the midfielder, Germany is shaping up as one of the best. A number of young English talents have made their way over to the Bundesliga in the past , including Ademola Lookman, Jadon Sancho, and Reece Oxford, to help with their development. Maitland-Niles could be another name on the list.
