It’s been a great transfer window for Arsenal fans, this summer and fans will be excited to see what the upcoming season has to offer.
After last season’s poor campaign, the Gunners have got their business done early and have brought in solid signing after solid signing.
Most recently the club brought in former Sampdoria midfielder, Lucas Torreira, however it is one of their earlier signings that spell the end for one of the squad.
Arsenal bought Leno for £22.5 million and although for now, it’s unsure if he’ll become number one, what is for certain is that Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina will likely leave the club, and according to the Mirror, he is a target for Boca Juniors.
The Breakdown
The Colombian goalkeeper has two years left on his current deal with Arsenal and the club are apparently ready to let him go. The former Nice goalkeeper has never completely won over the Arsenal faithful. At times he’s done well as the number two, and at others, he’s made terrible mistakes.
Speaking in an interview for Argentinian publication, EL Crack Deportivo, Ospina’s agent, Lucas Jaramillo confirmed that he could well leave the club this summer.
“David has two more years left on his contract at Arsenal, he will have to go back now, there is a new coach, a new goalkeeper who has the coach’s confidence so this might be the end of the line.”
It’s been an up and down Arsenal career for Ospina and it may just be time to go.
