The Gunners are seemingly in decline over recent months and, you could say, possibly for seasons. However, our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern are wanting a massively overdue overhaul at the Emirates this summer.
A huge revamp of the club is needed with many of our regulars feeling it needs to start with the manager. Arsene Wenger has no doubt been a fantastic boss throughout his 20 plus years at the Gunners, that much is obvious. Moreover, he single-handily revolutionised the Premier League when he arrived in the late 90’s.
However, since 2004 and the infamous Invincibles year, Wenger has somewhat lived off the back of that success – and rode it to the hilt. Despite bringing in four FA Cup wins then and delivering Champions League football each until last to justify to the board he should stay on, Wenger hasn’t quite convinced for a while now and the punters propping up our bar can’t wait to see the back of him.
Our barman feels though now, especially as it seems that Arsenal will be missing out on Champions League football for the second season running. With that in mind, it’s time to look elsewhere, and these TWO managers could be great replacements…
