Arsenal know they need to introduce some consistency into their game if they want to catch up to their rivals and maintain a place in the top four.
Unai Emery has been dealt a tough start to his career at Arsenal, with a number of injuries impacting his team on a regular basis.
Particularly in defence, Emery may not even be able to recall the last time he had his best players all playing in the same game and that’s something that has to change.
Although left-back is arguably the position they have struggled with the least, it’s about time they look at finding a replacement for the ageing Nacho Monreal and the inconsistent Sead Kolasinac.
To do that, Arsenal must do everything they can to acquire Real Betis star Junior Firpo, who has been in scintillating form this season.
Firpo, (who is valued at £22.5 million on Transfermarkt) has been a massive success for Real Betis ever since he joined in January 2018.
The 22-year-old has proven himself in La Liga in the short while he has been there, prompting teams like Arsenal to register their interest in him.
Junior Firpo has played at left-midfield 21 times this season, going on to provide three goals and two assists.
With Arsenal’s current system, Firpo would work very well in a wing-back role and could improve the Gunners both in attack and defence.
There is still work to be done to Arsenal’s defence if they want to propel themselves back in the top four of the Premier League, however Junior Firpo would be a good signing to begin proceedings in the summer.
Do you think Arsenal should sign Junior Firpo… Let us know!
