Both the Liverpool and the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have little reason to complain of late following strong starts to the campaign.
Though Manchester City and United made most of the headlines over the course of the summer, the transfer business from both the Reds and the Gunners looks like paying off.
With that in mind, reports emanating out Italy has both sets of punters chomping at the bit.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, both sides are chasing Grégoire Defrel of Sassuolo as they look to introduce yet more attacking enterprise.
After a stunning rise through the league pyramid, the 25-year-old was recently called up for the Italian national side as the result of his form.
He’s notched three goals in just five games so far this term and has come a long way from playing in the second tier little over a year ago.
Should his form continue, both clubs are believed to be keen.
Do either Liverpool or Arsenal really need another attacker?
