Arsenal punters in the Transfer Tavern this evening are growing concerned, amid news two more Premier League clubs are interested in poaching Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The England international was rated as one of the finest talents in the country when Arsenal plucked him from Southampton, scoring nine goals in 34 League One appearances as they gained promotion from the third tier in 2011.
But Oxlade-Chamberlain is now into his sixth campaign at the Emirates Stadium and the 23-year-old is still yet to make himself a guaranteed starter under Arsene Wenger, issued more substitute appearances (11) than starts (10) in the Premier League so far this season.
With his contract due to expire in summer 2018, the coming transfer window represents a pivotal crossroads in Oxlade-Chamberlain’s career and he’s certainly not short of potential suitors.
Earlier this week, Mirror Football revealed the versatile midfielder is a £30million target for Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho keen to beef up his options out wide and in the engine room.
But the same publication now claim Everton and Manchester City are also keen on summer moves for the 24-cap international, who hasn’t appeared for the Three Lions since 2015.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is reportedly a keen admirer of Oxlade-Chamberlain, but he also impressed Pep Guardiola when Arsenal faced his Bayern Munich side in the Champions League two-and-a-half years ago.
