Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been having a hard time over the last few weeks. Morale has never been lower among players and fans of the club as Brighton condemned the Gooners to four straight losses for the first time in 16 years. However ex-United forward, Danny Welbeck, who knows what it takes to win, has urged his teammates to be united during their current run of form.

Manchester-born Welbeck has an impressive trophy cabinet, with a Premier League title, two FA Cups and a Club World Cup winners’ medal to his name. However, the Arsenal fans propping up our bar have been quick to criticise the injury-prone 27-year-old. The striker’s time at The Emirates has been marred by injury after injury and when he has featured, Welbeck has left much to be desired.
His recent comments about staying ‘united’ despite poor form, has led to a number of Arsenal fans making jokes at the expense of the England striker. However, Welbeck will be hoping he can turn around his, and Arsenal’s, recent woes and end the season on a high. The Europa League is still a realistic target for the Gunners and Welbeck could be given a chance to impress against AC Milan in the competition tomorrow night.
Taking all that into account, here’s what Arsenal fans made of Welbeck’s comments:
You can't be serious Danny
