The Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern just aren’t used to life without a manager. Indeed, with Arsene Wenger’s reign in charge of the Gunners now over, our north London locals aren’t too sure what to do with themselves. While Wenger divided opinion, life without him at the helm is a strange concept.
As you can imagine, much of the conversation amongst our resident Gooners has been centred around as to who will replace Le Prof for next season. A variety of names have naturally been linked with the soon-to-be-vacant post at the Emirates and news of a managerial departure has caused Arsenal fans online to speculate.
Indeed, Zenit St Petersburg have confirmed (as per Sky Sports) that former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is to leave his role in charge of the club and, while he’s been strongly linked with the Italian national team, has previously been touted as a potential option for Arsenal. In fact, according to Sky reporter Kaveh Solhekol back in September (via the Daily Express) that the ex-Inter Milan has always wanted the job.
