Arsenal v Everton is always a thrilling match. Arsenal are currently on a rich vein of form and look like a team that are starting to believe again. A set back against Fulham last time at home will not have any bearing this time round.
Everton were shocking last week against Stoke and will need to put a sterner performance if they want to get anything out of this match. The Gunners will see this one out. My prediction 2-1
Liverpool v QPR will be an interesting one. You would expect Liverpool to straight out win this game comfortably, but they do look vulnerable at home when facing lesser opposition. They have only won twice out of seven games at home this season, which is not good enough for their standards.
I must admit they were unfortunate to lose at the Cottage on Monday and will be desperate to get all three points if they are to stay in the race. However QPR are not in the best run of form and therefore will get toppled over by Liverpool. My prediction 3-1
Manchester United v Wolves could go either way. For Wolves this could be the best time to face the Red Devils or the worse time. United received a lot of criticism in mid-week after their humiliating exit from the Champions League and will want to make amends.
Wolves have given a good account of themselves against United in recent seasons and Mick McCarthy will know exactly what to expect when his side face them. United will be eager to put in a strong performance and will come out easy winners. My prediction 3-0
Stoke v Tottenham will be a tough encounter for both sides. Tottenham were knocked out by Stoke in the Carling Cup and will be looking for revenge. High-flying Tottenham are the team to beat and Stoke will want to push them all the way.
If Tottenham are to be serious title contenders then these are the games they have to win. Having said that, Tottenham have been successful in recent seasons having won 2-1 in their last two Premier League encounters with Stoke at the Britannia. It will be a tight match and will result in a draw. My prediction 1-1
Chelsea v Manchester City will be an intriguing and delightful match. Both teams are blessed with attacking talent and this fixture should turn out to be a spectacle with all the players on show. With Chelsea looking shaky at the back and City’s array of attacking talent, it could end in a goal fest.
If Chelsea end up being naive at the back it could end up disastrous for them. However Chelsea have kept three clean sheets in their last three games and looked very impressive against Valencia on Tuesday. Drogba looks to be returning to his former self and will need to be at his very best if Chelsea want to hurt City. In Mata and Sturridge down the flanks you are always going to create chances.
It will be a huge test for City after being knocked out of the Champions League and like United it will be interesting to see how they respond. I am going to be bold and choose Chelsea to come out victorious. My prediction 2-1
