After progressing to the semi-finals of the Europa League, Arsenal fans will be pleased with Arsene Wenger’s comments following their 2-2 draw against CSKA Moscow.
Two-late goals from Danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey secured Arsenal’s place in the last four of the Europa League with their hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League looking increasingly unlikely.
The Gunners were without star midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan who was injured in the first leg against Moscow and looked set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines. However, fitness expert Ben Dinnery has given Arsenal fans a welcome boost ahead of the run in.
Wenger believes Mkhitaryan will return before the end of the season and will be out for just two more weeks as the club have great medical staff, and the Armenian is taking his rehabilitation very seriously, according to Dinnery’s quotes on Twitter.
Wenger suggests Mkhitaryan will play again this season: “He has a medial ligament strain, he should be out for two more weeks,” the Arsenal boss said following the draw in Moscow. “Do not be too worried. We have a very good medical staff and he is very serious in his rehab.” #AFC pic.twitter.com/XJb8fVvmyg

The former Manchester United man’s return can’t come soon enough for the Gunners after hitting the ground running at the Emirates. Mkhitaryan scooped consecutive Arsenal player of the month awards for February and March before the injury halted his progress.
Landlord’s Verdict:
If Arsenal are to win the Europa League, therefore securing Champions League football next season, then Mkhitaryan will be crucial. Losing Alexis Sanchez was a huge blow but gaining Mkhitaryan has so far looked like the better end of the deal. Arsenal just don’t look the same without him at the moment!
Arsenal fans, are you looking forward to seeing Mkhitaryan back in the side? Let us know!
