Potential Cazorla replacement: Arsenal should consider a move for £9m-rated Spanish creator

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern remain excited and trust the fact that Unai Emery will hopefully become as successful a manager to take over from Arsene Wenger after 22 years at the club.

It will most definitely be a hard task for someone to try and reach the high levels Wenger did during his time at Arsenal but now a new era under Unai Emery has arrived.

One player who has the potential without a doubt to make that transition period a lot easier is Barcelona youngster Carles Alena, who is valued at £9 million by Transfer Markt. The Spaniard has played for the Barca B team all season long but his eye-catching performances may make Arsenal feel that he could already be good enough given the proper chance.

With 11 goals and 4 assists this season alone, Alena could be the perfect like-for-like Santi Cazorla replacement the Gunners are crying out for.

It was an emotional time to say goodbye to one of their best players when fit but after many years of injury struggles, it was, unfortunately, time to part ways. That break up can again be made a lot easier if Carles Alena proves to be as good in England as he has been so far in Spain.

Arsenal and their supporters must understand that Unai Emery will need time to grow into the role, so bringing talented players along with him with the future in mind is a fantastic idea. Alena is currently at Barcelona and you can’t be a bad footballer if you are involved with the Spanish giants so the Gunners should surely take a punt on the 20-year-old, right?
