With Chelsea looking as if they’ll manage to see out their title march following yesterday’s win over Southampton, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are feeling blue.
As another title challenge seems to just fall short, it’s fair to say the Spurs fans in the bar need some cheering up. So, reports from the Daily Mail have at least lifted spirits somewhat.
Their report quotes a club statement saying Danny Rose has returned to training with the first-team, after missing action since January. The England international injured his knee away at Sunderland, with Ben Davies deputising thus far.
Indeed, the Mail suggest the 26-year-old could return in time for April’s crunch clash with bitter rivals Arsenal, the penultimate game at White Hart Lane.
Such is the nature of Rose’s importance to Spurs’ cause, even the mere notion of his return has delighted our locals Tottenham fans. For the Arsenal ones, however, they hope the game comes just too soon.
