Arsenal have made their worst start to a Premier League season for 26 years under Unai Emery.

The Spaniard was handed a difficult start to his tenure as Arsenal manager with a visit from Manchester City followed by a trip to Chelsea. Two defeats isn’t a great way to start the campaign, but there are some promising signs that the future is bright under the Spaniard. Emery will be hoping to pick up his first win as Arsenal boss against West Ham at the weekend.

The former PSG boss added many new players to his squad in the summer but failed to sign a top left-winger to replace Alexis Sanchez. Mesut Ozil was invisible against both City and Chelsea; the lack of true wingers is hurting the Arsenal side. This issue needs to be addressed when the window reopens in January.

To solve their problems, Arsenal should make a move for Spartak Moscow winger – Quincy Promes. Valued at £21.6m by Transfermarkt, the Dutch international has lit up the Russian League since joining from FC Twente back in 2014. Promes netted an impressive 15 league goals last year as well as registering nine assists for his team-mates.

With bags of pace and expert dribbling, the forward has all the right attributes to be a success in the Premier League. He can play on either wing making him the ideal addition to Emery’s squad. Promes has hit double figures for goals during every season in Russia making him the perfect goal-scoring winger Arsenal require.

Still just 26-years-old, he is approaching the prime of his career and will only get better. Arsenal need to sign him to get their season back on track.
