Arsenal have had a superb transfer window so far this summer and it looks like Unai Emery might be able to get the Gunners back to the Champions League places.
The Gunners have strengthened in multiple areas, especially at the back this summer. The Gunners have been a hesitant force in the transfer market, however this season the Gunners have done well to add Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira to the squad. While the quartet may just spell the end of Arsenal’s transfer business, according to RMC (via GetFrenchFootballNews).
According to the report, both Arsenal and Barcelona are interested in signing Rabiot who has told PSG that he wants to leave the club this summer if the wage demands on his new contract aren’t me.
A midfielder with a very well-rounded game, Rabiot emerged as an essential for the Parisien club last season. Capable of playing as a holding midfielder or as in a box to box role, Rabiot was unlucky not to be selected for this year’s World Cup.
The PSG youth academy man registered 33 appearances in Ligue 1 and apparently is available for between £35-45 million, although Arsenal may be able to get him at a lower price as he only has one year left on his current deal.
While Arsenal’s midfielder may have been bolstered by the additions of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, adding a quality player like Rabiot to the midfield for a cut-price deal could be a great move for Arsenal.
