Quite understandably, the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are growing tired of hearing about a certain Jamie Vardy as they drown their sorrows.
Following a protracted saga, the England international officially snubbed the chance to move to North London by agreeing a new deal with Leicester City.
So, the striker search at the Emirates continues, as all manner of illustrious marksmen continue to be linked with the Gunners.
But why would a man playing non-league football and nearing his 30th birthday reject a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs?
Well, according to Sky Sports, the 29-year old reserved doubts about the style of play imposed by Arsene Wenger.
Basing his game largely off of searing pace on the counter attack, the forward doesn’t seem a natural fit in the possession based play so prevalent under the Frenchman.
His desire to see how the Foxes will perform in the Champions League following their title win is also thought to be a major factor in his decision to remain in the East Midlands.
Has Vardy made the right decision? Is it one he will live to regret?
