Though the glorious Euro 2016 is in full swing, the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are still keeping a keen eye over the plethora of rumours and reports the proverbial silly season brings.
The ongoing tale of Jamie Vardy continues to confuse and bemuse the bar-stool-experts in this evening, it appears the Gunners could be set to see yet another deal breakdown.
According to the Guardian, Polish international stopper Wojciech Szczesny is braced for a return to North London after seeing talks about extending his loan deal with Roma break down.
Having spent last term on loan in the Italian capital, it appeared as if the 26-year old would be set for another year with the Giallorossi.
However, the Serie A titans are not thought to have presented Arsene Wenger and his charges with an acceptable offer to extend the arrangement, with the Premier League giants having paid a large share of his wages last season.
With two years to run on his deal, the Pole is understood to be on the verge of being offered fresh terms, regardless of whether he is turfed out on loan again.
Is this the year Arsenal finally win the league again?
