Signing Coman would be the final piece of the Arsenal puzzle

Signing Coman would be the final piece of the Arsenal puzzle

Arsenal have been quick to conduct their transfer business this summer and the club might yet be after another player to add to the ranks.

The Gunners have strengthened massively in defence and midfielder. The Gunners’ defence has been a consistent problem but now it seems that the club may finally have remedied that problem.

How well Arsenal do over the next season will probably be dictated by how well the defence plays. In terms of attack, the club have two of the better attackers in Europe in Lacazette and Aubameyang but could still do with a class winger.

As widely reported, Bleacher Report‘s Dean Jones reported that the Gunners have an interest in Kingsley Coman.

While he reported the club had an interest, he also admitted that any deal is unlikely to happen.

The Breakdown

Blessed with blistering pace and the ability to defeat defenders one on one, Coman would be an incredible addition to the squad.

The 22-year-old winger had an off year by his standards as he struggled with an injury at the back end of the season. While that meant that he only played 21 games, Coman still remains one of the best talents in Europe.

As it stands, Unai Emery has Lucas Perez, Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to call upon on the right wing, Coman could be the man to take Arsenal back into the Champions League spots.

It’ll be tough to prize Coman away from the club this summer as his contract runs out in 2023 but if Arsenal want to become a force again, it’s a move they should seriously consider.
