Wigan v Chelsea This has Chelsea victory written all over it. Chelsea picked up a great victory on Monday evening against leaders Manchester City and will have been greatly lifted by that result.
Chelsea are on a good run of form and you just feel this could turn ugly for Wigan. Wigan picked up a great victory at the Hawthorns last week, but Chelsea will be too much for them to handle. Prediction 0-3
QPR v Manchester United This will be a very exciting fixture. QPR have shown the big boys at home this season they are not just walkovers. They beat Chelsea and were unlucky not to get something out of the City game.
United know with City slipping up against Chelsea and a fixture against Arsenal, this could be their chance to regain top spot. It will be a competitive match and I can see QPR getting something out of this match. Prediction 1-1
Aston Villa v Liverpool This is a tricky tie. McLeish has set his team up to be compact and difficult to beat something that you wouldn’t usually associate with Villa. Depending on which Villa side show up will determine the outcome.
If Villa set up to defend and hit on the counter attack, then I can only see a Liverpool victory. Past matches between the two clubs at Villa Park have never been enthralling and I can’t see this one being a spectacle. Prediction 0-1
Tottenham v Sunderland Tottenham will be looking to bounce back after their unbeaten run was cruelly ended last week. If it wasn’t for referee Chris Foy, Tottenham would have got at least a draw out of that match. Sunderland picked up an emphatic victory last week and manager Martin O’Neill couldn’t have dreamed for a more dramatic start to life at Sunderland.
Tottenham should win this match; they have looked strong at home this season and will be desperate to pick up all three points if they want to be considered title contenders. Sunderland will defend in numbers and try and hit Spurs on the counter attack. Prediction 2-0
Manchester City v Arsenal This match has all the ingredients to be a classic. Both teams like to attack, and you know with Arsenal they don’t know how to sit back. It will be an end to end game with City just edging it. Manchester City haven’t had the best of weeks; knocked out in the Champions League and a first loss in the Premier League may have a significant effect on them.
It will be interesting to see how they react and you just never know what you expect from Arsenal. With Robin Van Persie in the team you always have a chance and the Dutchman has been instrumental to Arsenal’s great form of late. Arsenal won 3-0 last time out and will be hoping for a repeat. This match holds a lot of significance to City; a loss here could prove damaging, but a win could give them the confidence to go on and believe this Premier League title is theirs. Prediction 3-1
