Arsene Wenger has enjoyed arguably the worst year as manager of Arsenal Football club since taking over back in 1996, but as the longest serving manager in the Premier League they’ve been skeptical to see the back of the Frenchman after countless years of service. Although, fans are starting to lose their patience with the 68-year-old, as this season’s performances have been far from the star-studded Gunners side that fans have been accustomed to.
Nevertheless, after seeing the reaction given off by fans and the footballing world after welcoming Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Emirates, Wenger is now hungry for more signings as he looks towards possible targets in the summer. As he’s planning a double swoop for the highly-rated Brazilian winger Malcom, and Atletico Madrid’s world-class goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Indeed, after already attempting to bring winger Malcom to North London during the January transfer window, Wenger has identified the 20-year-old as a player that he’d love to have under his wing as a potential future star. On the other hand, Jan Oblak has been a goalkeeper that’s caught the eye with his shot-stopping abilities in Spain, with Arsenal having shown previous interest in the Slovenian international.
