The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been calling for their German international superstar and World Cup winner to quit the national team after German fans have scapegoated the Arsenal man for his shocking displays in the World Cup in Russia.
Do you agree with Mesut Ozil's father?

Mesut Ozil’s father has been calling for his son to quit Die Mannschaft after the shocking abuse that he’s had to suffer following Germany’s exit from the World Cup in the group stage. The nation lost their opening game to Sweden 1-0 before beating Sweden 2-1 and then eventually losing their final group game 2-0 to South Korea, a famous result that saw them knocked out of the World Cup at the group stage for the first time in their history.
The German players will be returning to their club sides now and with a number of players getting flack from their national fans, Ozil’s family have come out to support him and are calling for the 29-year-old, who won the tournament back in 2014 in Brazil, to quit the national team. His performances for Arsenal have drawn criticism before with a perceived lack of effort being one of the key factors that he’s slated for, but the abuse he’s got from his own people back in Germany looks to have hit the Arsenal man hard.
You can read our local Gunners verdict on Ozil here:
He needs to concentrate on playing well for Arsenal. If Low continues then Ozil is unlikely to get picked based on the form he showed 2nd half of last season. After the next Euros would be the best time for him to quit international football.

Yes, he should. Germany scape-goat him all too often, it's nothing new. This whole 'picture-gate' was stupid to begin with, and now it's just gone overboard. Retire, and focus on club football for us. We know your worth

Yes. The Germans are ungrateful.

Yes. He only played well for the 350k week contract. Shows that he doesn’t care about the sport and only wants luxury living.

From what’s been said above you can see that the fans would happily see Ozil quit Germany to focus on his Arsenal career.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
