Tottenham slapped with hefty asking price for lethal Arsenal target, demands set

The flames of the North London derby need little fanning, though the Landlord knew exactly what he was doing to the punters in the Transfer Tavern when he carelessly let slip Spurs have hit a breakthrough for an Arsenal target.

According to reports from Dutch outlet Voetbal InternationalAZ Alkmaar are understood to be willing to sell North London strike target Vincent Janssen this summer.

However, the Cheeseheads are understood to be asking for between £12.3m-£16.5m for their 27 goal marksman, who finished top scorer in last season’s Eredivisie.

The 22-year old is believed to have attracted the glances of top brass at both White Hart Lane and the Emirates Stadium thanks to his stunning form in Holland.

Spurs are said to already have seen an offer snubbed, though are in desperate need of quality backup to supplement star man Harry Kane.

The England international started all 38 of their Premier League outings last season and looked burnt out during the Three Lions’ nightmare EURO 2016 voyage.

Where would Janssen fit in better, Arsenal or Spurs?
