With a good feeling prevalent amongst the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, it’s hard to believe some of the pessimism cast upon the faces of our north London locals over the summer.
Though Arsene Wenger did ultimately splash the cash in the transfer market towards the end of the window, the Frenchman sure did leave it late.
Still, despite finally opening up his wallet, the Gunners propping up the bar never did get to welcome the big name striker they so desperately craved.
Though he’s not in favour right now, Olivier Giroud is still one of the only recognised centre-forwards at the club.
The Frenchman remains truly divisive amongst the Emirates faithful crowded in one corner of the bar, with Alexis Sanchez currently proving a much more dynamic presence up front.
Still, the 30-year-old proved he’s got some fight about him left in a bizarre video posted the by the club’s YouTube account.
Participating in a Q&A with compatriot Laurent Koscielny, the former Montpellier ace revealed he would last 10 seconds in a UFC cage with Mr Conor McGregor.
However, the Les Blues international revealed he would be up for the bout and taunted: ‘Whenever you want!’
Will Giroud be at Arsenal next year? Let us know below..
