With Granit Xhaka through the door already, the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are dreaming about just what else Arsene Wenger can pull off in the transfer market.
While the French tactician is barely noted for his prowess in such an area these days, there’s a palpable excitement amongst the Gunners propping up the bar about their chances next.
If they sign a striker. And a defender.
So, what does the all-knowing Le Prof do?
Well, according to Don Balon, he could sign another attacking midfielder.
Barcelona’s Arda Turan has been linked with moves to both the Emirates Stadium, as well as bitter rivals Chelsea, and has reportedly been given a glowing recommendation by one of Wenger’s current stars.
Alexis Sanchez, previously of the Blaugrana himself, is said to have told the 66-year old to sign the Turkish international despite his poor year at the Camp Nou since moving from Atletico Madrid.
Do Arsenal need Turan? Should they be looking at more natural centre-forwards?
