Arsene Wenger’s transfer policy is lamented often and loudly amongst the punters in the Transfer Tavern as the Gunners propping up the bar await the new season.
Though Granit Xhaka has been brought in to bolster the ranks, the Frenchman has so far been unable to land either a top class defender or a new lethal forward.
However, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport, the North London giants are ready to make another move for Torino defender Bruno Peres.
They are understood to have already seen a £13.5m offer snubbed by the Serie A outfit for the attacking full-back, though their interest is not thought to have subsided.
With the Brazilian also linked with a move to Manchester City, those at the Emirates are believed to have asked the Italian club what it would take to sell the player.
Mathieu Debuchy, who has operated as a backup for Hector Bellerin, is thought to be closing in on a move to Galatasaray, potentially opening up a space in Wenger’s ranks.
Would Peres be a good signing? Could he oust Bellerin? Let us know below…
