Arsene Wenger is a divisive figure amongst the north London locals in the Transfer Tavern, despite leading Arsenal into a strong position this season.
As good as things are going right now, the Gunners often lament Le Prof’s work in the transfer market, as well as his penchant for overplaying individuals, with the club often suffering injury problems throughout the course of the campaign.
So, the Emirates faithful propping up the bar have been delighted to hear reports from the Daily Mail suggesting the Frenchman is prepared to change his ways and hand Alexis Sanchez a break.
The Chilean has been in wonderful form this season, largely operating as the club’s leading central striker, though has played the most out of anyone in the squad this term.
Though he eventually played in the recent draw with Manchester United, there were concerns about the forward’s injury situation as he made the long journey to South America to play in a World Cup qualifier.
With that in mind, the decision to reportedly hand the ex-Barcelona man a mini winter break has come as good news to the Arsenal fans, who desperately want him fighting fit for the proverbial business end of the season.
