Wenger open to January Arsenal deal amid Ligue 1 interest

As January approaches, the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are starting to get excited about the transfer window and all the intrigue that brings.

While the Gunners are barely ever the most active in it, it hasn’t stopped the north London locals propping up the bar waxing lyrical about their hopes and dreams for the first month of the year.

Though most of the conversation naturally centres around their dream incomings, reports emanating out of Algeria today have given some food for thought.

According to Le ButeurArsene Wenger is open to the idea of loaning out Ismaël Bennacer in January, after the 18-year-old impressed at youth level.

A classy central midfielder, the man they signed from Arles in 2015 has reportedly attracted the glances of Ligue 1 sides such as Guingamp, Le Havre and Lorient of late.

There’s also said to be interest from both Belgium and the English Championship and Le Prof is understood to be keen on loaning him out to further his development.

Despite his good showings in his age group, the talented teen would surely be better suited to banking some first-team experience, with so many other illustrious options available to Wenger in central midfield.

Seen much of Bennacer? Would he be best off banking some first-team games ASAP? Let us know below…
