Wenger ready to push Conte all the way as Arsenal rival Chelsea for stunning Euro 2016 star

Jamie Vardy’s snub of Arsenal could yet have a positive outcome, with the more optimistic bunch in the Transfer Tavern quickly turning their attentions to other targets.

It rarely ever gets bigger, with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claiming Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is ready to renter the race to land Juventus forward Alvaro Morata this summer.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move North London for a number of months, though their pursuit of the England international saw Chelsea reportedly take the lead.

However, with the 29-year old looking increasingly likely to remain in the East Midlands, the Frenchman is believed to be ready to reignite interest in the Spanish international.

While Real Madrid are also thought to be in the fray for the La Roja star, those in the Spanish capital are understood to only want to invoke their buyback clause in their deal with the Old Lady, simply to sell him on at a higher price.

Is Morata really worth the hype?
