‘What a player’ – Arsenal fans in agreement following club’s Twitter post

There’s not been an awful lot to shout about for the Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern of late. 

Despite their recent win over Bournemouth, not many of our north London locals are backing Arsene Wenger’s side for a genuine title tilt this season, after losses to the likes of Liverpool and Stoke City.

With that in mind, the Gunners who frequent our venue in their droves have been casting their minds back to better times. Indeed, the club have taken to Twitter to commemorate the signing of Freddie Ljungberg, who joined Arsenal 19 years ago today.

The Swedish midfielder won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups during his stint with the club and was a hugely popular figure amongst the supporters, having formed a major part of their famed ‘Invincibles’ side.

So, thinking about happier times, here’s a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to the club’s Twitter message.
