The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing the future of one of their most mistake-prone players, Shkodran Mustafi. The German centre-back could be on his way out of North London this summer, and the fans really wouldn’t miss him.

Mustafi joined Arsenal from Valencia back in summer 2016 and has now completed two full seasons with The Gunners, although he’s made more than a handful of mistakes along the way and the fans would love to see him leave. Whilst Mustafi has been a calamity at The Emirates, with the injured Laurent Koscielny not back in action until at least 2019 the club will have to do some serious recruiting if they do lose Mustafi this summer.
The fans have completely lost faith in Mustafi over his short career at Arsenal. His awful positional play and habit for getting caught out by the opposition has led to more and more criticism being heaped onto the German, and the fact that he’s missed out on the World Cup squad with Germany speaks volumes for how poor he’s played, after being one of the first defenders called upon to deputise for either Jerome Boateng or Mats Hummels in the German defence during Euro 2016.

As you can see, the Arsenal fans would happily crowdfund a move for Mustafi, as they are all in agreement that he is absolutely woeful.
