Arsenal recovered from their painful defeat to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium in style this week with back-to-back 4-1 victories over Galatasaray in the Champions League, and Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Gunners played some superb football and scored some excellent goals over the last two matches to ease the pressure on Arsene Wenger who was perhaps at an all time low after the nature in which they surrendered the points at Stoke the previous week.
Whilst the last two games have seen Arsenal return to something like their best form, Gunners supporters who have grown tired of their French boss will tell you it has simply papered over the cracks.
Arsenal fans were expecting a title challenge at least this season rather than the challenge of pushing for the top four before 2015 had even arrived.
