Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are now looking for a list of clubs to take the German off their hands after the London Evening Standard revealed that Galatasaray do not want Lukas Podolski.
It was expected that the 30-year-old would finally make a fresh start with the Turkish giants after falling out of favour at Arsenal and Inter Milan.
He initially moved to Inter on loan, after struggling to break into the Arsenal team, but then he still found it hard to prove his true quality, after scoring only one goal in 19 appearances.
As things stand the forward is to return to the Gunners for pre season and both parties, Arsenal and Podolski are waiting for a new club to show an interest, unless Podolski can turn a new leaf and show Arsene Wenger he can contribute to the club.
Gala were interested but everyone thought their coach, Hamza Hamzaoglu, would have made his move by now but instead he has made an effort to distance himself from the player.
“Podolski is not on our radar right now,” the Galatasaray boss told TRT. “He was in the winter but not right now.”
