Though Sky Sports earlier reported the 24-year-old was choosing between either Crystal Palace or Bournemouth, it is now claimed the England international is closing in on a move to the Italian capital.
After Joe Hart also moved to Serie A, the punters propping up the bar are excited to see how a masterful technician such as the Gunners’ academy graduate does on the continent.
Noted for his technical ability, he could potentially join both Hart and Ravel Morrison as Englishmen plying their trade in Italy.
While the deal is not thought to be done, the decision now rests with the North London titans.
Injuries have derailed his progress in recent seasons and the signing of Granit Xhaka has seen Wilshere dropped to the bench for the start of the Premier League campaign.
