Arsenal have joined the hunt for Brescia midfielder Omar El Kaddouri, according to The Telegraph. The 20 year-old Moroccan-born Belgian international has caught the eye of several clubs in Europe with some impressive performances for the Serie B club.
But Arsenal face competitiong for El Kaddouri’s signature as Italians Napoli and Palermo have also registered an interested in signing the young midfielder.
El Kaddouri is aware of the interest in his services, but he has vowed to concentrate on doing his best for Brescia, at least until the transfer window re-opens in January.
”I am flattered by the interest shown by those clubs but it is not official to me yet so I can’t say anything,” said the Belgian.
”I have heard through newspapers, so I am relaxed. I just want to continue to play good for Brescia and once January comes we will all see what will happen.”
”Being linked with Arsenal? They play the good football I like and Mr Wenger gives a chance to any young players and likes technical players like me. Brescia has been good to me and I love this place but once interest is shown by some teams you have to think about it.”
Arsenal are short on midfield options this season and have been linked with several midfielders over the past few weeks and El Kaddouri is the latest one they have scouted and they could be ready to put a firm offer on the table to his club Brescia.
Brescia face a losing battle to keep El Kaddouri beyond the new year and will be braced for several bids for the talented young midfielder in January.
