Arsenal are lining up a move for Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero in January, according to TuttomercatoWeb.
The 24 year-old Spaniard only started 8 games for the club last season and has become a peripheral figure at the Bernabeu under Mourinho and the club may be willing to listen to offers for him.
Granero has fallen further down the Real Madrid pecking order this season after the club signed Turkish midfielders Nuri Sahin and Hamit Altintop, which will reduce the midfielder’s chances of minutes on the pitch even more this season.
Arsenal are still in the market for midfielders after the sales of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri and there is still money available from those sales to invest in the squad in January.
Granero could be a useful addition to the gunners as he can play in several different roles in the midfield and his rugged style of play may suit the Premier League.
