Newcastle United fans here in the Tavern are looking forward to next season, as they may be able to challenge for a European spot if they strengthen in the right areas this summer.
Rafa Benitez has worked wonders at St James’ Park over the past couple of seasons, as he continues to establish himself as one of the most impressive managers in world football.
Although, he will be looking to make his mark on the transfer window this summer after only managing to secure three loan signings back in January. And, with plenty of improvements to be had before the start of next season, the Spaniard won’t hesitate to spend big this summer if he is given the correct backing from Mike Ashley.
Therefore, with Ashley keen for Benitez to watch the World Cup closely later on this month, he may find himself a couple of players that could turn into stars at St. James’ Park next season.
So without further ado, Ashley should be telling Benitez to scout these TWO World Cup stars…
The 27-year-old will be jetting off to the World Cup later on this month after being named in Poland’s 23-man squad.
Of course, it will be difficult for him to earn a starting place this summer, with Robert Lewandowski often leading the line for the national side. But, there’s no doubt that Lukasz Teodorcyzk can guarantee you goals, having found the back of the net on 15 occasions in the campaign just gone.
So, with Newcastle United desperately needing to strengthen in attacking areas after witnessing Joselu’s goalscoring woes, perhaps Benitez will look to bring Anderlecht’s deadly poacher to St James’ Park this summer.
The central midfielder enjoyed a successful time of things this season as he established himself as one of Stoke City’s standout performers, with a number of Premier League clubs now fighting for his signature.
So, there’s no surprise that he managed to make it into Senegal’s 23-man squad for the World Cup later on this month, with a number of impressive performances possibly forcing Benitez into making a move.
And, with Jonjo Shelvey in need of a new midfield partner, perhaps the Magpies will look to Badou Ndiaye as a proven Premier League player.
