Aston Villa are a club in total disarray at present both on and off the field and the West Midlands-based club haven’t tasted victory since the opening day of the season back in August.
The Villa supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to see some new faces added to the squad during January with The Sun claiming that Remi Garde has told the club’s hierarchy that he needs some money to spend, in order to keep the club up.
The Frenchman has pleaded with the club’s board to loosen the strings on the transfer kitty if they want to see the club remain in the Premier League.
Saturday saw the basement boys draw 1-1 with Wycombe Wanderers in League Two and fans were involved in heated discussions with Joleon Lescott, Brad Guzan and captain Micah Richards following the disappointing result.
Our landlord here in the Tavern doesn’t think it matters who Villa splash the cash on during January and sees the club relegated before Easter regardless of who they manage to attract to the club.
