Aston Villa failed to secure all three points at Portman Road yesterday as they drew 1-1 with Paul Hurst’s Ipswich Town side.
The Villains will be desperate to return to winning ways as they couldn’t make the most of having a one man advantage in yesterday’s Championship fixture. And, it looks as if they’re still looking at potential signings, as according to Birmingham Live’s live blog (updated 19/08/18 ), Aston Villa are keen on signing Sheyi Ojo on loan.
Aston Villa will turn their attentions to Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo after it was revealed that Yannick Bolasie isn’t willing to drop down to the Championship.
Indeed, the 21-year-old has failed to break into the Reds’ first team and will no doubt be shipped out on loan, with Aston Villa keen on securing his services.
Of course, the Villains are short on numbers in wide areas and are yet to fill the void left by Robert Snodgrass, so moving for Ojo would be very smart.
Aston Villa do need to bring in one or two more players before the end of the month to really challenge for promotion to the Premier League. The Villains are light on wide options and could do with another striker, but they won’t complain if they manage to bring in Sheyi Ojo this summer.
The Liverpool winger was one of the shining lights during their pre-season tour of American and even grabbed himself a goal via the penalty spot, so it’s clear to see that he is a very talented youngster.
