Aston Villa: Fans buzz as Dean Smith relays injury update about Barkley and Konsa

Many Aston Villa fans have been buzzing at the latest injury update which Dean Smith has provided about Ezri Konsa and Ross Barkley.
Smith was recently talking to the press about the fitness of both Konsa and Barkley and he said that the club didn’t want to take a risk of playing Barkley in the cold weather during their game against West Brom and that’s why they chose to leave him out. He then revealed that the midfielder should be fit for the upcoming game against Crystal Palace.
Should Barkley and Konsa start in the next game?
Yes

No

The Villa boss also commented on the fitness of Konsa, saying that while the defender has been ill, he should be fit enough to play against Eagles too.
Both the players didn’t feature for the club against West Brom at the weekend and despite that, Smith’s men picked up an impressive 3-0 win thanks to a brace from Anwar El Ghazi and a goal from the club’s summer signing Bertrand Traore.
Barkley has made eight Premier League appearances this season, contributing to a couple of goals. Konsa has played ten league games, scoring twice himself, so getting those two players back should be a huge boost for the Villans.
Smith’s comments were relayed on Twitter by VillaReport and they had many Villa fans raving.
