Aston Villa: Fans unconcerned by reports about potential Jonathan Kodjia exit

Aston Villa are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Jonathan Kodjia in the January transfer window, according to a report from the Birmingham Mail.
Who should start at left-back for Aston Villa, Neil Taylor or Matt Targett?
Taylor

Targett

The former Bristol City striker is out of contract in the summer, and it is thought that the club would prefer to cash in on him rather than risk losing him for free.
He was actually subject to interest from Qatari side Al-Gharafa recently (via Birmingham Mail), but manager Dean Smith did not want to let him go as Villa wouldn’t have been able to replace him until January (via Football Insider).
However, it is thought that he will be more willing to let him leave in the next transfer window, as they will be able to bring someone in themselves.
Kodjia has managed to play just 16 minutes of first-team football this season, although that is partly because of an injury (via Transfermarkt).
However, he is unlikely to break into the first team given the form of fellow striker Wesley, who has scored four times in his first eight appearances in the Premier League (via Transfermarkt).
Villa fans seem to accept that it is time for Kodjia to move on, but most only want to see him go as long as the club bring in a replacement…
This would be fine as long as he’s replaced. I like Kodj but I doubt he’s going to set the Premier League on fire

Aslong as we replace him.

Inevitable, but I still feel sad about Kodjia leaving. Never the same after injury but maintained a good attitude throughout his career. Hope a good team comes in for him.

Make sense tbh, if we can get a fee. Like Kodjia, injuries and never getting a solid run has meant we’ve not seen the best of him but I think there’s a 15-20 goals a season striker in there. Suspect he wants first team football and Smith clearly doesn’t see him being that #avfc

sell and replace in Jan not a problem with that

We need to replace him before even considering selling him
