Aston Villa line up top Championship manager as Garde successor

Steve BruceThe Aston Villa fans are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening discussing reports that the club already have a first choice replacement should their manager leave the club this summer.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Premier League’s bottom side want Steve Bruce to replace Remi Garde if as expected he leaves the club at the end of the season.

Reports suggest that Garde could be set to return to France as the head coach of Lyon this summer after what has been an unsuccessful spell in England.

Bruce would be up for a fresh challenge during the summer should he fail to guide Hull back to the Premier League this season.

The 55 year old is no stranger to Villa fans having previously managed city rivals Birmingham City, and the fact the Bruce is still based in the Midlands could make a switch to Villa pretty straightforward.

The Aston Villa fans in The Tavern are delighted to be linked with Steve Bruce and consider him to be manager who could help bring the good times back to Villa Park if given the right support from the top brass at the club.

Villa fans, could you lure Bruce to the club? Let us know in the comments below!
