Aston Villa looking to poach Premier League striker to beef up attacking line

The Hull City supporters at the Football Transfer Tavern are already worried about the upcoming season with everything that has happened.

They have been hit by injuries and the departure of Mo Diame.

Our landlord here in the Tavern reckons they also have West Ham United trying to sign Andrew Robertson and Middlesbrough looking to nab Harry Maguire -The last thing that these punters need is Aston Villa coming in for their star striker, Abel Hernandez!

Well it has been reported by the Telegraph that this has happened, as Villa have identified Hull’s Uruguay international as one of their main targets for the remainder of the summer transfer window.

Villa have already bought Ross McCormack and have Rudy Gestede, but it seems they want Abel Hernandez as well, after he scored 22 Championship goals last season to help his side get promotion.

However, Hull City already have a very slim squad and only a week to strengthen it in time for the Premier League season.

Therefore it will take a large bid and a lot of persuasion to get Hull to part ways with the man who was their top goalscorer last season.
