Aston Villa set to move for £4 million-rated midfielder, club send scouts to watch

Tino-Sven SusicAston Villa fans are their wits end in the Football Transfer Tavern following this season’s misery but their pain doesn’t stop there as the club begin to prepare for next season.

According to the Daily Mail, the Villains are looking to bounce back to the Premier League immediately and now they are targeting Croatian side Hajduk Split’s midfielder Tino-Sven Susic.

The 24-year-old is rated at £4 million and he is a player who Nigel Pearson tried bringing to the King Power Stadium, whilst in charge of Leicester.

Villa have reportedly scouted Susic in Croatia as his side lost 2-0 to Inter Zapresa, but that will not put the Villains off of signing the Bosnian and Herzegovina international.

Not only have Leicester attempted to sign Susic in the past but also Stoke have been interested in signing him.

Our resident Villa fans have been in an awful mood all season here in the Transfer Tavern, but this news has certainly perked them up, and given them hope for the new season.

Our landlord isn’t sure about this piece of transfer news, and feels the club need to be targeting a move for experienced Championship players who know how to get out of the division.

Aston Villa fans. Do you think Tino-Sven Susic will be a good appointment as you look to prepare for the Championship? Let us know your thoughts below!
